This page explains what CharmNode collects when you visit or subscribe, in plain language, without the usual legal padding.
What we collect
We collect an email address only when you submit it yourself through the sign-up form on this site, which is processed by Formspree. Beyond that, we collect basic, anonymous technical analytics: things like which page loaded and roughly where a visit came from. We don't collect names, and we don't ask for anything beyond an email address at the point you choose to hand it over.
How we use it
Email addresses submitted through the sign-up form are used for exactly one thing: sending you new field notes when we publish them. The anonymous page-view data helps us understand which notes are actually useful to people, so we can spend less time writing the ones that aren't.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information collected through this site, to anyone, for any reason. We don't run advertising pixels or third-party trackers beyond the anonymous analytics described above.
Processors
Form submissions are handled by Formspree, which processes the email address you submit so we can receive and respond to it. We don't hand your information to any other processor.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and adjust the date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you've accepted the update.
